N.C.  review:

When Linda (Fay Lytle) meets Ed (Wee Matt), it’s love at first sight. Unfortunately, Linda’s ex (Josh Connor) isn’t ready to let her go.

This movie is weird.

If the staff of your local Bed Bath and Beyond dropped acid and then tried to recreate the plot of Great Expectations from memory using the items they found in the return bin as props, the resulting production would be less weird than The Dark Side of the Womb and yet similar enough to warrant a plagiarism lawsuit.

I loved it!

Here’s a little bit of trivia for you: “Wee Matt” McCarthy, who plays Ed Waend in the film, joined the cast of AMC’s Freakshow in 2014. Unfortunately, the series was canceled a few months later when the network announced that it would be shifting its focus away from unscripted content. Also, Mickey Faerch, AKA Ed’s mom, Mrs. Waend, is the mother of Daeg Faerch, who played 10-year old Michael Myers in Rob Zombie’s 2007 remake of the 1978 horror classic, Halloween.

I would recommend this film to fans of surreal horror and, to a lesser extent, fans of clown horror and horror-comedy.
